Creative Inspirations Paints

Our challenge this week at Creative Inspirations Paints was to go 3-D.  I made a dry eraes tile.  The black is vinyl, and I filled in the shapes with creative inspirations paints.  I love how it turned out, however I am not sure how well the paint will hold up on the tile.  I wouldn't put the tile where anything would rub up against it.  It should be fine on my craft room wall though!

Money Holder

My daughter has a birthday party to go to tonight, so I got to make something that WASN'T wedding related-hurray!!!!!!!
The holder is cut at 7 1/2 x 7 x 1/8.
Score along the 7 1/8 side at 2 3/4 and 5 3/4.
The paper was a digital pack that I printed.
Thanks for looking!

Glue, Scissors, Paper Challenge

The design team at Glue, Scissors, Paper had a charm challenge this week.  The challenge was to make a charm with bling.  My son's wedding is 3 weeks from today, so everything is wedding around here! I thought I would go with that and created a wedding ring charm. I cut clear shrink plastic with my cricut, and colored the bands with a silver sharpie. Then I baked them. After they cooled I covered the diamond with glitter glue, let that dry, then covered the whole thing with crystal effects. I think I will add another coat of crystal effects to smooth them out, but I am happy with how they turned out. I think they would look great on an engagement or wedding card, or tied on a gift.

Baby Shower

Here are the pictures from the baby shower I did recently.  I wasn't there to take pictures, so I had to use what I could get my hands on.  The banner was so much fun to do!!!  I used the deer from the nursery bedding and based all the decorations on that. I made 75 invitations and favors!!!!  I made a card very similar to the banner, but I forgot to take a picture.  Between this and the wedding and graduation, life is really crazy right now.  It's good crazy though!!!!

Creative Inspirations Paints Challenge

Our challenge this week was to color our embellishments with the paints.  I colored my white grossgrain ribbon yellow, and dipped my office brads in turquoise paint.  I apologise for the poor photos.  I'm home without a camera and had to use my cell phone.  Hop over to the blog to see the other fabulous creations!!!!!

Weddings with the Cricut blog relaunch!!!!

I don't know if you had noticed, but the Weddings with the Cricut blog has been quiet for the last month or so.  We've revapmed the format to make things easier on Emily, who takes care of all the posting for us.  To celebrate the relaunch, we have a give away!  Robyn, the pink stamper, has donated her dvd for us to give away!!!!  Head over to the blog for details on how to win.

I know I've been MIA!!!!!!!!  27 days to the wedding.  Then I will have lots to post, I promise.  I do have a baby shower to post.  I just have to get the pictures off my friends camera. I was out of town for my future dil's college graduation, so I didn't attend the shower, and I forgot to take my camera when I was decorating!!!!

Glue, Scissors, Paper Challenge

Our challenge at Glue, Scissors, Paper this week was to make a project using something that belonged to your mother.  I really didn't know what to do for this challenge. My Mom is alive and well, and I don't really have any of her stuff. Then I remembered I had a photo album of hers from when my brothers and I were little. (I don't know why I have it, and I don't think she knows I do!!!) It is full of polaroids. I found one of the two of us, scanned it, changed it to black and white, and made it into a Mother's Day Card. This is my first easel card, and it was a lot of fun to do!  My question for my mom is, why is she dressed in a nice skirt/sweater set, and I am in blue jeans and a t-shirt!!!!!
