More Gel Pens

I needed a quick cookie tower for a birthday, so I decided to try the gel pens.  It worked great, but my design could use some work!!!!   I just threw it together.  It has been a crazy wedding week!  I finished the invitations and they are in the mail (all 90!!!) and I have all 6 bridesmaids dresses together, and they fit the girls great!!!!! I just have the finish work to do.   I'm getting there.  I will be very happy to have everything done and get back to my paper crafting.  I sure miss it.  I haven't made a video in AGES!!!!

First Business Window

I did the window vinyl for my brothers new computer business.  He has plans to do the other window segments, just waiting on a vinyl order.  I think I talked him into adding layers too!  He applied this himself. I think I'll give him a few pointers!!!  We will re-do the entire thing when the new vinyl comes.  This was just a temporary fix done with what I had.

Creative Inspirations Paints sketch challenge

We had a sketch challenge at Creative Inspirations Paints this week, and this was what I came up with.  I LOVE these paints!!!!  I printed the digital image 3 times so I could layer it.  The top layer is just the flowers.  I used paints that matched the flower colors in the image to paint  them.  Then I went over everything with the fairy dust paint.  This has proved to be my favorite so far!!!!!  It just adds shimmer, no color, so you can use it over any color.  Head over to the blog to see what the other designers came up with!!!
Sorry my posts are few and far between-I am VERY BUSY with my son's wedding plans right now.

Gel Pens and your Cricut!!!!!!!!

You have got to try gel pens in your cricut!!!!!  It is so much fun, and offers so many possibilities.  I just got my holder and pens in the mail today, so of course I had to try them out.  I didn't have anything in mind.  I just scrolled through some files I had, and picked a few to try out.  All of these are sized to fit an A2 card.  The tiny details are amazing!!!!!!  You can go much smaller with the pens than the blade.  Then you can have the cricut cut it out too!!!!  Can you tell I'm excited?  I plan to make cards out of these, which I will post.  I just wanted to share the fun.  Sorry the picture quality stinks.  I didn't bother to get any of my lights out.  I was in a hurry.  The color really pops on the black paper, and I can't believe it can do text that small.  This is going to be fun. :0)
The pen holder is available from a fellow crafter, Amy Chomas who along with her husband, designed and produced this fabulous tool.  (Click her name for the link)  It is very well made, and is much easier to insert in the cricut than the cricut blade.  They did a great job.  There is also a holder for mini sharpies, and an embossing blade.  I am going to have to try them as well!

Name buckets

The kids at my church (ages3-11) did a fabulous Easter Musical this year.  They presented it Easter Sunday morning.  It was really awesome.  They had their cast party this past Sunday.  These were their "goody buckets".  The ones with two names were the main characters.  I also did the vinyl for the set, which was a cemetery.  I forgot to take my camera though.  My daughter took pics with her phone.  I'll have to see how they look.

Baby Shower Invitation

I just made 60 of these for a friend of  mine.  I absolutely love the deer!  It's the same deer on the bedding for the nursery.  I got a picture off the internet, and used scal to cut it out.  I couldn't decide which ribbon I liked, so I did some of each.  I know the background looks gray, but it is white.  I shouldn't take pictures at night!

Creative Inspirations Paints

The new design team posts are up at Creative Inspiration Paints.  The challenge this week was a colr challenge using green, lavender and yellow.  For my card I cut the flowers with my cricut, left all the paper on the mat, painted over them and let them dry.  Then I just peeled up my cuts.  No mess painting!  It worked great.  I just love the shimmer of thes paints.  Photos just don't pick up all the shimmer.  Head over to the blog to check out the fabulous projects from the other design team members.  They amaze me!!!

Weddings with the Cricut-Decor Tuesday

This is my post for today at Weddings with the Cricut.  It's the first aisle runner I have done.  I love how it came out.  I just used black contact paper, and it stuck really well.  You can't really tell in the photo, but the vinyl actually looks like part of the runner.  Head over to the blog for details!

Happy Easter

"Christ the Lord is risen today"!!!!!!

Our challenge at Glue, Scissors, Paper this week was to decorate real eggs using paint or glitter, but no dye.
I used creative inspirations shimmer paints on my eggs. Unfortunately, I have no artistic ability.
Hence the stamps and polka dots! It was fun though!!!
